Kansas Wing Headquarters is the administrative headquarters for the Civil Air Patrol's Kansas Wing. Headquarters Kansas Wing provides command and control, as well as support services, to the over four hundred volunteer cadet and senior members across the state. Headquarters staff advise the Commander on the success of CAP's three missions, provide counsel and support to subordinate units, and update higher echelon staff on activities around the Wing.
Kansas Wing hosts a number of statewide activities for our members, including:
- Encampment
- Search and Rescue/Emergency Services training academies
- Professional Development events
Kansas Wing also provides operational control over emergency services missions within Kansas. Requests for assistance from city, county, and state organizations flow to the Wing's Operations directorate for assignment to local units. For immediate assistance with search and rescue, contact the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center at (800)851-3051. Requests for non-SAR related mission requests, including disaster relief, blood and tissue transportation, or other incidents, contact the CAP National Operations Center at (888)211-1812.
