Encampment Registration

Complete all these steps in order.

1. Online Registration

Complete your registration form based on your position type:

Encampment staff will slot you as applications are received. Student slots are first come, first served. All slots are provisional until payment is received.

2. Documentation

Complete a copy of each of these and email all PDFs in one email to encampment@kswg.cap.gov with subject line "Medical Forms and Application - <rank> <first name> <last name>." These forms are due 20 December 2021 2359.

Note that the CAPF 60-81 must be signed by your wing and group commander if your primary assignment is not to a unit under KSWG or MOWG. Make sure you and your parent/guardian signs in all places required. Forms will be sent back for changes if all the required signatures are not included.

3. Apply for CEAP

The Cadet Encampment Assistance Program assists economically disadvantaged cadets with their encampment fees and uniform purchases. Priority is given to families enrolled in federal programs (Snap, WIC, Title I, SSDI disability, etc.) but other families self-identifying a financial need are welcome to apply, including families with two or more cadets in CAP, recently unemployed, or those experiencing other financial challenges.

CEAP applications open 01 November 2021 and will close 26 November 2021. See the CEAP page on the National Headquarters website for details.

4. Pay Registration Fees

Registration fees are listed below.

Students - $230
Cadet staff - $175
Senior staff - $100

Pay online using PayPal. No checks, money orders, or cash will be accepted. Payment opens 8 December 2021 and is due 20 December 2021 2359. No payments will be accepted until after the COVID-19 go/no-go decision date, 8 December 2020.

5. Book Transportation and File Plan with Encampment

All attendees must file transportation plans. Complete this form prior to departure.

All attendees travelling by airline must forward a booking itinerary to encampment@kswg.cap.gov showing all legs of flight. Do not send screenshots. Use subject line "Travel Itinerary - <rank> <first name> <last name>"

Note: only travelers arriving to or departing from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport will have shuttle service.

6. Packing

Use the packing list to pack your items. Triple check the list and have a second person look it over to ensure all items are packed.

Ensure all required forms are in your possession, you will need them at in-processing.

Bring any emergency medical items, such as epinephrine autoinjectors or inhalers, as well as any prescription medications in their original containers, sealed in a plastic bag with your name and CAPID written on it.

Also use this time to ensure that you meet grooming standards as specified in CAPR 39-1. Remove all hair dyes and nail polish, cut hair and fingernails to required lengths, and shave facial hair unless authorized a beard waiver.

7. In-processing

Report to in-processing during your specified time. The address is 2929 Scanlan Ave., Salina, KS 67401.

Staff: 26 Dec 2021 1500-1700
Students: 27 Dec 2021 1200-1400

8. Graduate from Encampment

Families are welcome to attend! Graduation will take place 2 January 2022 at 1000. The address is the same as in-processing.
